Origin of Name: Named after the surfer, Pam Burridge.
Pam Burridge is known as one of Australia’s first professional female surfers and blazed the trail for a generation of women to come. She won NSW State, National and in 1990 the ASP World Title. Pam toured the world competing for close to 20 years.
The Sydney HarbourCats are a class of catamarans built in 1998 by Norman Wright, Bulimba, Queensland. They operate the Parramatta River services and Inner Harbour services. Both continued the theme of being named after famous Australian female athletes.
