Freshwater Class vessels
The world famous Manly Ferries
The Freshwater class of ferries operate the Manly ferry service. Now the oldest continually serving vessels in the fleet, they are the much loved, legends of the Harbour.
The fleet of four Freshwater class ferries are, in order of commissioning, the Freshwater, Queenscliff, Narrabeen, and Collaroy, which were commissioned between 1982 and 1988. They were built by the State Dockyard in Newcastle and Carrington Slipways in Tomago.
