Transdev Sydney Ferries has proudly operated Sydney’s iconic fleet of ferries and the Balmain Shipyard since 2012 under a unique partnership with the NSW Government to deliver a new age of customer-centric, efficient and innovative transportation, providing access to other transport modes across Sydney.
Transdev Sydney Ferries employs 600 journey makers and transports 15.3 million customers annually, operating seven days a week for 20 hours a day, covering 38 wharves over eight key routes, around Sydney Harbour and along the Parramatta river, and linking to key destinations like Barangaroo, Taronga zoo, Darling Harbour and Circular Quay.
We connect families, friends, commuters and visitors to the heart of our city and they have rewarded us with a 97% customer satisfaction rating, higher than any other public transport mode in the harbour city.
A ferry ride on the harbour is ranked a “top five” Sydney experience on TripAdvisor’s website, resulting in the award of a “2018 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.”
The customer experience is backed by our maintenance excellence at the Balmain Shipyard, one of the last two commercial dry docks operating in Sydney.
