Susan O’Neill AM is an Australian former competitive swimmer. She was nicknamed “Madame Butterfly”, winning 35 Australian titles and eight Olympic medals.
This is one of four SuperCat Class vessels that operate in the Harbour. They were purchased in 2000/01, and were built by Australian Defence Industries at Garden Island. Their names were chosen by winners of public competitions.
