Entertainment Beyond the Wharf

I love being where the action is. And one of the best ways of getting to where it's at, is by ferry.

When it comes to having a good time, Sydney’s got it all. The cafes, the clubs, the bars. And of course there’s the celebrity spotting.
I don’t think you need to go to places like London or New York if you want to mix with the A-list. Angelina Jolie takes her kids to Luna Park when she’s Down Under.
But no need to despair if you don’t get an invite to an A-lister’s party. You can get a front-row seat to all these million-dollar mansions on the Watsons Bay ferry.

A party-goer needs to eat too. And I think Circular Quay is where it’s at for food with a view. Who doesn’t want to be looking straight at the Opera House or Harbour Bridge while they eat?

Quay Restaurant at the Rocks is a favourite. Celebrity chef Peter Gilmore’s Snow Egg dessert has brought many Masterchef contestants undone. Far easier to let the chef make it for you, I think.
But you don’t have to stay in the city to have fun. Manly is a favourite place for party-goers. I mean if it was good enough for Nicole Kidman to get married there ….
You’ve got Hugos right on the wharf so you can go straight from the Manly ferry to dinner. Or you can hang out at Justin Hemmes’ latest venture, Papi Chulo. Apparently a favourite haunt of Lara Bingle and Sam Worthington’s.
I love being where the action is. And one of the best ways of getting to where it’s at, is by ferry.
You get front-row seats to the houses of the rich and famous. You get dropped off at the door of world-class restaurants and theatres. The journey itself is fabulous with all the harbour’s amazing views.
