Travelling and entertaining kids is never simple, especially when you have a young kids to accommodate! Below are some recommendations for activities that you can enjoy with toddlers and children in around the wharves.
Sydney’s iconic Luna Park is famous for the rides, views, carnival atmosphere and of course, the giant face that marks the entrance. While the big kids head off and enjoy the roller-coasters, there are plenty of activities for little ones to safely enjoy, and with the choice of cafés, food stands and the million dollar views across Sydney, it’s easy to see how the whole family can spend hours enjoying themselves at Luna Park.

The Royal Botanic Gardens are just a short walk around the water’s edge from the Sydney Opera House and provide the perfect destination to escape the city noise. With large trees offering shade, you’ll be sure to find a great little picnic spot to relax in and enjoy the harbour views while the little ones run around on the grass and admire the wildlife.
Set on more than 70 acres, the Botanic Gardens are home to an outstanding collection of plants with a focus on Australia and the South Pacific. Please remember to treat the plants with respect, as some of the plant life is fragile!

Sydney’s IMAX Theatre is home to the world’s largest movie screen, and shows movies in all dimensions. This is a great way to take time out from the bouncing energy of your children. Check out the 3D movies for something extra special!

The Darling Quarter Kids Playground is one of the most spectacular playgrounds in Australia.
