Located on Sydney Harbour, in one of Sydney’s most exclusive areas, Vaucluse House is a stately mansion nestled in a l9th century leafy estate. It is where William Charles Wentworth, an explorer and major public figure of the colony lived with his wife in 1829 and is one of Sydney’s few remaining 19th century mansions that is surrounded by its original gardens and wooded areas. It became Australia’s first official house museum in 1915 and attracts many visitors.
