Parramasala 2015 is a spicy celebration of cultures in Prince Alfred Square Parramatta and Harris Park.
The celebration includes India Tourism Pavilion and Chai Tea Stall, Friday Night Street Parade and Colombian dance band Cumbiamuffin later that evening. There’s yoga, chanting and breakfast at Morning Masala Saturday from 8am. Saturday night, there’s Masala Divas at Parramatta with Baby et Lulu and Sirens Big Band, or join the Flavours of the World Spice Market at Harris Park where Curry Puff Daddy will add some hip-hop heat on stage.
Spend Sunday afternoon in the Masala Markets and spice garden, watch rice art take shape, join a Bollywood dance and enjoy music from Africa to India and everywhere between. South Asian films at Cinema Thali in Raffertys Theatre, including the winner of My Masala film competition for young film makers. View the Adorned photo exhibition Adorned in Riverside Theatres.
